Zaki

Zaki Lais grew up in East London where he still resides.  Zaki has developed over two decades worth of experience in the London underground dance scene.  

 

A founding figure of early 90’s pirate stations Risk and Flava FM, Zaki was also an instrumental figure in pioneering the deep house sound across London’s airwaves with seminal dance station Touch FM. 

 

Having played across a diverse range of London’s most respected venues including The End, Cherry Jam, Pacha, The Egg, The Cross, Notting Hill Arts Club and AKA.  

 

Zaki launched MUAK (People Together) in 2003  in East London as one of the areas first house music events brands and has come to be recognised as part of the fabric of London’s dance community and still runs till this present day at various venues and warehouse in London along side the Muak events Zaki run's Muak Music the record label where you can hear the music he produces with the friends he has meet on his journey.

 

Zaki'has recently put out his first artist album Colours and has released music on Solomun's Diynamic Music record label and Coyu's Suara Label.
